Negotiation – not strikes – needed for Iran

Lisa Schirch and Lynn Kunkle write that even as military gestures intensify between Israel, Iran, and the U.S., negotiation is the most desirable and most effective way to secure American interests in the region. Only such dialogue between the US and Iran “lays the groundwork for addressing the root causes of conflict” – America’s fear of Iran’s nuclear armament and Iran’s need for energy and international recognition.
