Richard Garriott, 47, found that common ground doesn’t need to be on ground at all. Yesterday, the American traveled into space aboard a Russian spacecraft. Anatoly Perminov, chief of Russia’s space agency, said recent U.S. congressional decisions on future collaboration and the presence of U.S. astronauts at the launch site in Kazakhstan showed that politics would not block cooperation.
