In a surprising interview, singer and prominent gay rights activist Melissa Etheridge defended President-Elect Obama’s choice of Rick Warren to deliver the upcoming inaugural invocation, despite Warren’s endorsement of California’s Proposition 8. She says Obama’s choice is representative of his promise to reach across party lines.
